How to Reach Red Panda Outpost Near Singalila National Park

For Indian travelers and inbound international travelers, the preferred port of arrival and departure is Bagdogra Airport (IXB) in Siliguri, West Bengal.

International guests traveling from Bagdogra – India, will need to go through immigration at the Kakarbhitta border in Nepal and will require a valid multiple entry tourist visa for Nepal and a multiple entry tourist visa for India. Visa on arrival facility is also available at Kakarbita for international guests. The complete journey may take upto 5 hours with the last stretch of 1-1.5 hours being covered in 4x4 Boleros as the roads are unpaved for the last section of the journey. Red Panda Outpost representative will receive you at the airport and also assist for immigration and the onward journey.

International guests traveling from within Nepal have the option to arrive in and depart from Bhadrapur airport (BDP), also known as Chandragadhi airport. The drive to Reda Panda Outpost can take approximately 4 hours.

Indian guests traveling from Bagdogra-India, can drive straight upto Red Panda Outpost without immigration. The journey is through the Singalila National Park with Manebhanjan being the entry point for the same. Beyond Manebhanjan only registered vehicles are allowed to ply. Indian guests are required to carry a valid Election Voter Id card or Aadhar card for the same. The journey takes around 4 hours from Bagdogra airport to Red Panda Outpost. Our representative will receive you at the airport and assist for the onward journey.

Guests are requested to arrive Bagdogra/Bhadrapur airport before 10 a.m and book departure flight post 5 p.m. For any reasons this is not an option, it is suggested to spend a night at Bagdogra.
